IPOH: Students taking up Islamic Studies or twinning programmes overseas can apply for loans of up to RM6,000 yearly from the National Higher Education Fund Corp (PTPTN) once the Act governing the corporation is amended next March.
PTPTN chairman Datuk Ahmad Husni Mohamad Hanadzlah said amendments to the National Higher Education Fund Corp Act 1997 would make students in both overseas and local programmes eligible for loans.
