Shandong team for trade seminar

IPOH: Low tariffs under the Asean Free Trade Area (Afta) will be one of the incentives offered by the Perak State Development Corporation (PSDC) to lure entrepreneurs from the Shandong province of China to invest in the state. 

PSDC industrial promotion development manager Goradial Singh said some 40 delegates from Qingzhou, a city in the Shandong province, had been invited to meet with 300 local businessmen to discuss opportunities in bilateral trade and investment at a seminar at Excelsior Hotel here on Saturday. 

“Besides the Afta tariffs, the state government is also ready to offer land at very reasonable prices for Chinese entrepreneurs to set up their factories.
