TWO opposition MPs failed in their bid to stop Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting from tabling the Pawnbrokers Bill for second reading.
They wanted a postponement of the debate, saying that the opposition MPs had not been briefed about the proposed amendments.
