KUANTAN: The freshwater fish industry in Pahang contributed RM57.84mil to the state's income, with total production and landings of 3,305 tonnes last year.
Deputy Mentri Besar Datuk Tan Aminuddin Ishak, who heads the state Agriculture and Fisheries Committee, said the types of freshwater fish bred or caught included baung, patin, kelah, jelawat, lampam and tapah, as well as lobsters.
