THE MCA has helped to relocate 23 Chinese primary schools in remote areas with low enrolments to ensure their survival is in line with the partys 1999 general election pledge, both Nanyang Siang Pau and China Press reported on their front pages.
Party president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting was quoted as saying that MCA had given these vernacular schools, which were facing the threat of closure, a new lease of life through relocation and redevelopment.
