US lambasted over trade policies

USING its perceived position as a superpower, the United States is bent on not only bringing weak nations to their knees through military might but, given half the chance, the US wants to also cause economic turmoil in these countries, said Berita Harian. 

In an editorial that lambasted US trade and foreign policies, the paper said organisations like the World Trade Organisation, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund – which directly or indirectly are controlled by the US – worked in cunning ways to dominate the world economy while giving leeway to currency pirates like George Soros.
