SUNGAI PETANI: The poor and the downtrodden should not be forgotten during festive seasons, said Mentri Besar Datuk Syed Razak Syed Zain yesterday.
“While some get to enjoy good things, there are others who don't even have enough to eat and decent clothes to wear.” Referring to Deepavali tomorrow, he said the poor should be given a helping hand to celebrate the occasion before presenting cash and Deepavali goodies to 150 poor people in a function organised by Kedah Puteri MIC here.
