Over 300 HIV victims detected in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: A total of 313 HIV carriers and 57 AIDS victims were detected in Sabah from 1991 until last year with 29 deaths, the State Assembly was told yesterday. 

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Lajim Ukin told the State Assembly that Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 147 HIV and 15 AIDS cases, followed by Sandakan (26 HIV and six AIDS cases) and Tawau (55 HIV and five AIDS cases).
