BUKIT MERTAJAM: Deepavali, the Festival of Lights, will bring its true meaning to the Subramaniam family in Machang Bubok as their days of celebrating it in darkness in the past eight years is now over.

The Prai sub-branch of the Divine Life Society donated a generator set to the family after learning of their plight, and a well-wisher donated a second-hand television set.
