PENANG: The Consumer Tribunal rejected a mini market owner’s claim of RM500 for his “winning” lottery ticket, saying it had been tampered with.
Tribunal president Eddie Yeo Soon Chye dismissed Lim Hooi Teik’s claim after Pan Malaysian Sweeps Sdn Bhd’s manager of operations C.Y. Tan explained that the serial number on Lim’s “Scratch & Match” ticket stub had been altered.
