PUTRAJAYA: The start of the fasting month will be determined by sighting the new moon on Saturday, Islamic Advancement Department (Jakim) director-general Datuk Mohamed Shahir Abdullah said here yesterday.
The sighting would be carried out at 28 sites, followed by the announcement by the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, he said.
