PUTRAJAYA: Cheers from thousands of Malaysians greeted leaders of the OIC as they drove to the palatial Putrajaya Convention Centre for the opening of the three-day OIC Summit yesterday.

The crowd of students, NGO members and the public carried placards and banners with messages of global peace, lined both sides of the main boulevard from the Palace of Justice to the Seri Gemilang bridge to welcome the leaders.
