PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad yesterday received two books on the federal administrative capital by its developer, Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd, in honour of his efforts as its “architect.”

The Making of Putrajaya and Bridges of Putrajaya traced the journey to develop the intelligent garden city and the eight magnificent bridges which have become monumental landmarks in the picturesque skyline of Putrajaya.

Putrajaya Holdings chairman Datuk Hashim Hassan, in expressing gratitude to Dr Mahathir for his leadership and guidance, said Putrajaya’s success was indicative of the ability of Malaysians as a nation.

Dr Mahathir later toured the “Expression of Putrajaya,” an exhibition of 30 works of art by seven artists who were lecturers at Universiti Teknologi Mara. The exhibition at Putrajaya Shangri-La is open to the public from 10am to 8pm until Oct 26.
