Kelantan official faces graft charges

KOTA BARU: A state government officer was charged in the Sessions Court here yesterday with two counts of corruption involving a total of RM6,150. 

Shu’aibon Ahmad, 45, who is assistant secretary of the Housing Division in the Kelantan state secretariat, pleaded not guilty to accepting RM3,000 from one Mohamed Pauzi Mohamed Noor and RM3,150 from one Hashim Mohamed Zin as inducement to expedite their applications for the transfer of houses in the Kusial Baru housing estate in Tanah Merah.
