THE Employees Social Security Act will be amended to make it clear that accidents which happen on the way to a sports or religious event conducted by the employer will not be “covered” if the function is not directly linked to the employer’s trade or profession.
This would also include travelling to a social activity organised by a trade union or association, which means that an accident that happens then “will not be considered an accident arising in the course of the insured person’s employment.”
