KEPALA BATAS: The flood situation in Seberang Perai has improved further as water levels in the tributaries of the three major rivers there – Sungai Muda, Sungai Junjung and Sungai Kulim – continue to recede.
In northern Seberang Perai, the worst-hit area, the district office had closed 23 relief centres after over 5,000 evacuees returned home yesterday.
