THE design of the proposed RM2.58bil second bridge linking Batu Maung on the island and Batu Kawan on the mainland is expected to be ready by March next year, Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Dr Hilmi Yahaya told the state assembly.
He said the consultants appointed by the Federal Government were working on the design of the proposed 24km-long bridge, and added that it was up to the Cabinet to decide whether to source the loan locally or abroad.
