KUALA LUMPUR: The Personal Data Protection law, which will regulate the collection, possession, processing and use of personal data by any person or organisation, will be enforced early next year.
Minister in the Prime Ministers Department Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim said the legislation was being drafted by Energy, Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Amar Leo Moggie and required interim programmes and an in-depth study to make it comprehensive and suitable for Malaysians.
