Man jailed for growing cannabis

KUALA LUMPUR: A 27-year-old man was jailed eight years by the Sessions Court after he pleaded guilty to growing cannabis plants in his home last year. 

Judge Akhtar Tahir also ordered Mohd Zamani Zamberut, who was unrepresented, to be given six strokes of the rotan for growing 10 cannabis plants in seven plastic containers at Jalan Sentul here on Nov 12.
