KUALA LUMPUR: Magazine publishers are the latest to come out to criticise the decision to impose the anti-dumping duties on imported newsprint which they say was not well thought out and an unfair move.
Magazine Publishers Association secretary James Selva said a third of the magazines in the country use newsprint and based on the duties imposed, the cover prices would have to be increased by 20% to 30%, adding that there were 80 companies publishing more than 800 magazines in the country.
