IPOH: The family of the late Chung Sai Moi, widow of philanthropist Foo Yet Kai, has pledged to donate RM1mil to more than 100 local institutions and bodies, including schools, non-governmental organisations, guilds and associations.
Chung’s third son, Datuk Foo Wan Kien, said that among the major recipients would be Shen Jai Secondary School (RM500,000) which was founded by his father, the Needy Patients Fund of Kinta Medical Centre (RM50,000) and the Lions Clubs in District 308 B1 and B2 (RM21,000).
