PETALING JAYA: The Election Commission has declared that the Malaysian democracy model is very much alive although there are still some weaknesses that can be overcome over time.
Its chairman Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman said democratic elections had been held 10 times and had resulted in the establishment of legitimate and responsive governments since independence.
