KUANTAN: The Pahang tithes collection centre has launched a financial assistance payment programme to distributemoney to the poor on a monthly basis.
Pahang Islamic and Malay Customs Council (MAIP) deputy chairman Datuk Wan Abdul Wahid Wan Hassan said the scheme was proposed by its president, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, in March as a better way to help the less fortunate.
