SUNGAI BULOH: More than five million motorcyclists will be the main target of the government's ongoing road safety campaigns as the number of motorcycles are expected to increase due to the road tax exemption announced recently, Transport Minister Datuk Chan Kong Choy said.
He said motorcyclists should take the necessary steps to protect themselves as more than 50% of the 6,000 deaths caused by road accidents each year were made up of this group.
