GREAT START (Sept 17): Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and the new leaders of China have established a better understanding of each other following a series of meetings in Beijing. Describing his meetings with the top three Chinese leaders – President Hu Jintao, Premier Wen Jiabao and Wu Bangguo, the chairman of the National People's Congress – as successful and substantive, Abdullah said the discussions had been “very productive”.
