SEVERAL quarters have called for a further reduction of the charges for performing the haj after Tabung Haji announced a reduction of between RM472 and RM479 in existing rates effective next year.
Utusan Malaysia quoted Royal Prof Ungku Aziz as proposing that Tabung Haji come up with a special package for the poor and people from the low-income group who want to go on pilgrimage.
