KUALA LUMPUR: Peace talks brokered by the Human Resources Ministry’s special taskforce to settle the National Union of Bank Employees (NUBE) factional dispute appear to have hit a snag with one of the groups voicing dissatisfaction over the proceedings.
The aggrieved faction, led by its president Abdul Jalil Hamid and general secretary J. Solomon, issued a statement yesterday alleging that Trades Union director-general Zulkifli Abdullah’s “actions were inconsistent” with the rest of the three-member taskforce which also comprised ministry secretary-general Datuk Dr Mohd Yahya Nordin and Labour Department director-general Datuk Ismail Abdul Rahim.
