Aquaculture zone land identified

PENANG: Some 70,000ha of land nationwide has been identified by the Fisheries Department for the implementation of the Aquaculture Industry Zone (AIZ), aimed at encouraging competitive aquaculture productivity. 

Fisheries director-general Datuk Hashim Ahmad said of the total land identified, the department found 40,000ha of the land suitable for the zone.
