PENANG: The Penang Federation of Taxi and Hired Car Drivers Association has rejected the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board’s (CVLB) directive that they use the meters, saying they are prepared to “face the music.”
Federation chairman Ismail Din said representatives from 10 affiliate associations met yesterday and decided to continue charging passengers flat rates until their demand for higher meter rates was approved by the board.
