KUALA LUMPUR: The Star Education Fund has achieved a significant milestone in its 10th anniversary by disbursing RM30mil to 1,450 scholarship recipients.

“There was much scepticism when the fund was incepted in 1994 but our partners-in-education shared the same zeal and noble thoughts and their generous contributions have made it a success,” said Star Publications (M) Bhd managing director Datuk Steven Tan in his speech at an appreciation dinner held to thank local and foreign educational institutions who have supported the fund over the years.
