MALAYSIAN Chinese, regardless of their political and cultural affiliation, should involve themselves in the historical and cultural studies of the Malaysian Chinese for the overall benefit of the community, MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting said.
Ong, who is also Housing and Local Government Minister, said studies and research were necessary to ensure that the Malaysian Chinese remained a cohesive group, Sin Chew Daily reported him as saying at the launch of The Malaysian Chinese History and Personalities, at the Sin Chew Daily office in Petaling Jaya.
