BANGI: Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad is spending RM3mil to RM4mil to upgrade its power back-up system at the KL International Airport (KLIA) to ensure power outages do not disrupt airport operations in future.
Transport Minister Datuk Chan Kong Choy said that after Monday’s power disruption, a review on the back-up system at KLIA had revealed weaknesses which needed immediate attention to prevent a recurrence of flight delays.
