KUALA LUMPUR: The Court of Appeal ruled that the oil royalty dispute between the Terengganu government and the Federal Government and Petronas should be resolved without a full trial or oral evidence.
Instead, the panel headed by newly elevated Federal Court judge Justice Mohd Noor Ahmad, held that the suit should be decided based on a proceeding under Order 14A of the High Court Rules 1980, or alternatively Order 33 rule 2 of the Act where parties would rely on over 20 documents covering Acts of Parliament, agreements and conventions.
