BERITA HARIAN reported that the reluctance of Chinese youths to join the police force has hampered plans to have Chinese policemen in Chinese-majority areas.
It quoted Bukit Aman management deputy director Deputy Comm Datuk Talib Jamal as saying the lack of Chinese policemen could not be treated lightly because it made it difficult for the police to obtain thorough information during investigations.
