KUALA LUMPUR: Continuous rain and thick clouds dampened the hopes of Malaysians who gathered at the National Planetarium to witness the once-in-60,000 years phenomenon when planet Mars comes closest to Earth.
At press time, the clouds had not cleared to give them the opportunity to see the red planet which could have been spotted with the naked eye.
