Hearing of suit over khalwat arrest set for January

IPOH: A court here has postponed to January the hearing of a couple’s suit against the Perak Islamic Council and the state government for alleged wrongful arrest over a khalwat (close proximity) case. 

Sessions Court judge Maznah Abd Aziz allowed a request by deputy state legal adviser Mohamad Jazamuddin Ahmad Nawawi for an adjournment pending instructions from the state legal adviser.
