KOTA KINABALU: Attempts by terror groups from neighbouring countries to enter Malaysia are being constantly monitored through intelligence with security forces along Sabah’s east coast borders remaining on high alert, Deputy Defence Minister Datuk Shafie Apdal said.

“I am happy and contented that we are able to deter these armed groups from slipping into our country and posing a threat to the nation,” he said yesterday after delivering a paper on Security in Asia – Measures Against Terrorism at the fourth Asia Statemen’s Forum (ASF) here.
