KANGAR: Fifty-five people cheated death when a schoolbus carrying them to a border town for shopping plunged 20m down a ravine after skidding off the hilly Jalan Kaki Bukit-Wang Kelian road, about 80km from here, yesterday.

Most of the passengers, including some of the six children, only suffered bruises and cuts after the bus rolled over twice before stopping near some huge tree trunks.
