KEPALA BATAS: The arrest of Hambali in Thailand on Monday was a big breakthrough which could check the terrorist threat in the region, said Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
The Deputy Prime Minister said the arrest would also help Malaysian authorities in getting information on the extent of terrorist activities in the country.
