Court: Suspected KMM man's detention lawful

KUALA LUMPUR: The Federal Court here ruled that the detention of fishmonger Nasharuddin Nasir under the Internal Security Act (ISA) for alleged involvement in Kumpulan Mujahidin Malaysia as lawful. 

Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Steve Shim Lip Kiong, who delivered the court's decision yesterday, said the detention order under Section 8 of the ISA against Nasharuddin was made by the Home Minister when exercising his discretionary power.
