KUALA LUMPUR: The DAP and Parti Rakyat Malaysia have joined the Barisan Nasional in criticising acting PAS president Datuk Seri Hadi Awang over his remarks that women are not suited to hold top positions such as judges and that they should not hear cases involving serious crimes.

They also asked the Terengganu Mentri Besar not to distance himself from the controversy by blaming the media for not giving “proper” coverage on his statement regarding responsibilities that can be undertaken by Muslim women.
