KUCHING: A bio-gas plant, believed to be the first in the country that uses a technology to generate electricity from animal wastes, has been installed in a pig farm in Bau, near here.
The RM60,000 bio-gas plant at JF Trading Farm was developed with the joint effort of the state Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB), National Productivity Centre (NPC), Asian Productivity Organisation (APO) and the Environmental Engineering Department of the Chiang Mai University in Thailand.
