ALOR STAR: A former officer with the Langkawi land office was yesterday charged in two Sessions Courts here with three counts of accepting bribes totalling RM57,000.
Mukhtar Abdul Rahman, 48, who is currently based at the Baling Land Office, is alleged to have committed the offences between March 1999 and April 2000 when he was the chief assistant district officer (land) in Langkawi.
