PORT DICKSON: Affluent Singapore can afford to pay an even higher price for raw water but it is likely to resort to delaying any arbitration to settle the issue, said Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

The Prime Minister said the period of talking and negotiating over the price of water Malaysia supplies to its rich neighbour was now over, adding that Malaysia wants arbitration according to the provisions of its agreement with the republic.
