KUALA LUMPUR: The man behind the Private Education Department's Gempur dan Hebah crackdown on errant private institutions of learning, deputy director-general of education Datuk Hassan Hashim, clocked out of the Education Ministry for the last time yesterday following an emotional send-off at his office.
After 32 years of service with the ministry, Hassan finally called it a day and now intends to spend more time with his family before continuing to serve the education industry in “other ways”.
