PENANG: The Star will organise the inaugural Star Property Fair 2003 at the Penang International Sports Arena (Pisa) in Relau from Sept 19 to 21.

Touted as the largest one-stop property exhibition in the northern region, the fair is expected to showcase more than 100 booths on property, home decor and related services in line with the stimulus package implemented by the Government.

Organising chairman Datuk Seri Kamal Hashim said the fair would provide the ideal platform for the promotion and exhibition of property and home financing packages.

There would also be a wide selection of related products such as home furnishing and accessories, security systems, landscaping, interior design and lighting.

“Those in the northern region will be spoilt for choice with properties offered ranging from low-cost houses to condominiums and top-end bungalows as well as commercial units.

“With the endorsement of the Housing and Local Government Ministry, the fair is expected to draw thousands of visitors, making it a prime investment platform for exhibitors and visitors,” said Kamal, who is Star Publications (M) Bhd regional director.

He added that visitors would also get the opportunity to obtain first-hand information and advice on property and home-related matters.

Other activities lined up for the three-day fair include property auctions, contests and panel talks by professionals.

The proposed talks cover topics such as How to Make Millions from Property Investments, Feng Shui, Taxation & Property Law, Financing, Legal Rights and Tenancy Agreements.

The fair's target audience includes interior designers, contractors, developers, and families and individuals interested in purchasing property, renovating their homes or seeking advice on real estate and home decor.

The fair is open to the public from 11am to 9pm. Admission is free.

Booth rental for three days is RM3,500 per unit or RM3,000 each for those booking at least four units.
