69,000 new voters register

PUTRAJAYA: With the certification of the 2003 Second Quarter Additional Voters Roll by the Election Commission (EC), a total of 69,642 new voters have registered. 

The EC said that during the voter-registration and electoral roll revision exercise from April 1 to June 30, a total of 25,582 voters had changed addresses and 33,324 had been removed from the 2002 electoral roll because of death, lost of citizenship and other reasons.
