TAIPING: Adequate measures have been implemented at the Taiping prison to monitor HIV/AIDS cases and curb the spread of the disease by discharged inmates, said state Health Department director Datuk Dr Abdul Razak Kechik.
He said that with the co-operation of the prison authorities, all new inmates would be required to undergo blood-screening and those who tested HIV-positive would be isolated in a special dormitory.
