MCA-Gerakan unity augurs well for Chinese

MCA secretary-general Tan Sri Dr Ting Chew Peh has expressed hope that the historic MCA-Gerakan unity dinner in Beruas, Perak, will lead to serious discussions between the national leadership of the parties on ways to enter into new co-operation. 

Co-operation was not only good for the two parties but also a great advantage to the Barisan Nasional, and the Beruas joint gathering was a good indication that the MCA and Gerakan were moving in the same direction, he said in an interview with Nanyang Siang Pau
