PENANG: The case of the Iraqi detained on suspicion of trying to extort money from a distressed family here has been classified as “putting a person in fear of injury in order to commit extortion.''
The arrest was made following a report lodged at the Dang Wangi police station in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday by Faridah Abdullah, 56, mother of Malaysian student in Iraq Mohd Abdullah Osman.
